COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus State men's basketball team endures another close loss to Cincinnati State 84-81 on Wednesday in the Delaware Hall Athletic Center.
Rhodes hit 4-for-9 for three pointers in the matchup while Lamarr Barnes sunk 8-for-10 on free throws.
The Surge outrebounded the Cougars 35-28 and shot slightly better with 52.9% compared to the 49.1%.
The loss brings Columbus State to an overall record of 8-17 and 3-9 in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.
Wednesday was also Sophomore Night, where the four sophomores of the Columbus State men's basketball team were honored before tip-off while accompanied by loved ones. The sophomores recognized were Khari Burton, Christopher Cook, Darrell Freeman, and Matthew Rhodes.
Next up, Columbus State travels to No. 14 Owens Community College on Saturday, February 21. Tip-off is at 3:00 p.m.
