Men's basketball improves to 5-2 after home win against Ohio State club

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Four Cougars scored double figures in what was their fifth straight win with a 99-90 victory over Ohio State's club team to a crowded house. Six lead changes, four ties, and at one point a 12-point lead by OSU didn't deter the athletic Cougar squad. As a team, Columbus State shot 42.1% in three's and 48.5% from the field overall.

Sophomore Robert Caldwell led the offense with 22 points, including shooting 5-of-10 ffrom behind the arc. Caldwell also added four rebounds, two steals, and two assists.

Sophomore Lamarr Barnes recorded 20 points, hitting 8-of-9 from the field and 100% from the line. while freshman Rodney Willis tallied18 points and three rebounds.

Sophomore Kenneth Moore registered game-highs for assists (6), and steals (5) while pouring in 16 points and grabbing five rebounds.

Next up for the Cougars is a home game against the Community College of Beaver County on Sat, Nov 21 with a 5:00 p.m. tip.
