Cougars top Clark State in 88-64 victory

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Columbus State men's basketball team picked up a road win against the Clark State Eagles on Wednesday evening. The Cougars (13-4, 3-3 OCCAC) have won four of their last five games, including the last three straight.

The Cougars shot 50.8% from the floor on the night, including 40.0% from the three point line and 75% from the foul line.

Rodney Willis and Robert Caldwell led Columbus State with 16 points apiece, each sunking in four three-pointers and two field goals. Willis added seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals while Caldwell added four steals and three assists.

Nic Williams recorded 11 points and five rebounds while Patrick Ngene-Igwe nearly missed a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds.

Grant Dierksheide came off the bench to to score a career-high nine points, all three-point shots. Dierksheide also grabbed two rebounds. 

Lamarr Barnes tallied six points, four rebounds, and a season high four steals while Kenneth Moore dished out a game high nine assists, along with four points. 

Johnnie Robinson and Chris Byrd each contributed five points while Donte Smith and Travon Hester chipped in four and three points respectively. Byrd also had a career high three steals.
