Men’s basketball notches season-best fourth straight win

NELSONVILLE, Ohio – Two sophomores paced the Cougars in their 92-74 win over the Hocking College Hawks on the road on Saturday afternoon.

Rodney Willis had a game-high 25 points, including two dunks and a team-high nine rebounds while Johnnie Robinson scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds in what is Columbus State's fourth straight win and sixth win in the last seven games.

Mario Young and William Prater each added 10 points while Matthew Gierhart and Andre Daniels chipped in six points apiece. Grant Dierksheide and Dylan Geig tallied five points each and Jeremiah Fair-Harris rounded out the scoring with four points.

Columbus State (9-11, 6-5 OCCAC) outrebounded the Hawks (9-16)  44-35 while sinking in eleven three-pointers.

The Cougars are back in action on Wed., Feb. 15, hosting Cuyahoga Community College at 7:30 p.m.
