Cougars for the community, eyeing season tip-off

10/30/2017

On Friday, October 27th, the Columbus State Men's Basketball Team volunteered with the City of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department. The team helped facilitate activities during the Beatty Community Center Annual Harvest Party that attracted more than 200 hundred participants from the neighboring community. Children ages 6 to 12 participated relay races, frisbee toss, and trick or treat limbo led by Columbus State players. Coach Ed Thompson hopes to grow this partnership and participate in future volunteer opportunities at the Beatty throughout the year.

The Men's Basketball Season will kick off this weekend at the Titan Tip-Off Tournament hosted by the Community College of Beaver County. The Cougars will tip-off against the Titans Saturday Nov, 4th at 3:00 p.m.
