PRs aplenty for men's cross country at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio - The Oberlin College Invitational proved to be a huge meet for the Columbus State men's cross country tea. Each Cougar achieved a PR (personal record) at the 8k race.  The open race,featuring184 men, was held at the Community Cross Country Trail on Oberlin's campus.


Kunal Verma was the first Cougar to cross the finish line, notching a 26:46.7 time, resulting in a 53rd place finish. Kevin Chenault clocked in at 29:25.8 (136th) while Glauco Fontgalland had a time of 29:59.4 (148th) to conclude the sub-30 min finishers.

Sidney Campbell (30:42.1), Lucas Collins (31:28.3), Thomas Shaw (31:45.6), Jesus Davis (32:32.6) and Abdi Bashir (42.37.8) rounded out the Cougars participation at the meet.

Cordon Louco (unattached) won the race with a time of 24:33.0.


Next up for the Cougars is the Region XII Tournament in Lansing, Mich. on Sat, Oct. 31 at Grand Woods Park.
