SUNBURY, Ohio - The Columbus State women's golf team won the Region XII Women's Golf Championship this past weekend at Bent Tree Golf Club. The team shot a 1096 over three rounds (+232) to beat Jackson College (Michigan) by 16 strokes.

Jackson's Virginia Gilton was the low-medalist in a field of nine participants with a three round total of 243 (+27). Columbus State sophomore Sean Pusey (pictured right) carded a 95-87-80—262 (+46) to finish as region runner-up. Pusey's 80 in round 3 was the team-low score for the tournament.

Sophomore Kellie Feehan posted a 91-94-88—273 for a third place finish while freshman Sydney Kelly came in one stroke more with a 99-92-83—274. Rounding out the Cougars' scoring was Claudia Podolski with a 90-99-98—287.
