Cougar Cross Country Team Finishes Sixth at Otterbein Meet

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Columbus State cross country team concludes its second race of the season with a sixth place finish at the Otterbein University Invitational on Saturday morning. Held at the Lehman Cross Country Course on campus, the Cougars finished with a team score of 172.

Aaron Kennelly was Columbus State's top finisher with an 8k clocking of 31:07.3. The second Cougar to cross the line was Reed Farmer, whose 32:17.0 time earned him a 59th place finish.

Rounding out the scoring effort for the Cougars were Kyle Roach, Laithe Abu-Obeid, and Dylan Williams. Roach finished in 34:31.2 to earn the 77th slot. Abu-Obeid crossed the line at 35:28.0 earning him a 79th showing while Williams finished with a time of 36:06.0 for 81st place.

Right behind Williams was Nickolas Caiazza, who placed 83rd with a time of 37:35.5.

Former Cougar runners Cody Null and Jesus Davis also ran in the meet. Null and Davis, who run for OSU's Running Club finished with times of 29:16.5 and 37:36.1 respectively.

Otterbein University's James Ehret won the race with a time of 26:25.0.

Running on the women's side was Maribel Nava, who completed the 6k in 35:00.07 for a 65th place finish.
