Volleyball Picked Fourth in NJCAA Pre-Season Poll

COLUMBUS, Ohio – After finishing in fourth place at the NJCAA national tournament last year, the Columbus State volleyball team is picked to finish fourth based on a preseason vote of NJCAA committee members. The Cougars, who were 19-12 in overall matches in 2017, are picked to finish behind reigning champions Eastfield (TX),followed by Harper (IL), and Central Lakes (MN).

The Cougars return two players after graduating seven from last season. Setter Georgia Payne (Mansfield/Lexington HS) and defensive specialist Anna Megown (Dublin/Dublin Jerome HS) lead nine incoming freshmen this season.

After two weekends of scrimmages, Columbus State opens its season on Fri, Aug. 24 at 6:00 p.m. vs. Clark State in the Delaware Hall Athletic Center. For information on season passes, visit cscccougars.com/visitors/ticket_information.
